It is a new year and it is a new Goodreads challenge. I started late in May last year and set a goal of 50. I hit 35 books by year end. Not sure how I hit 35. This year I decided to start with the challenge of 20 books for the year. Some of you avid readers will scoff at the puny number. I figure, when I get close, I will up the ante. I am reading using any and all media necessary – Audio, Digital and Physical and my library card is simply on fire! I am telling you – a library card can save your purse! My local library also has e-books that I can read on my Nook. Love it!
As usual I have found two series to start my year with – the first being The Mortal Instruments. I know, I am a bit behind and after the first book I must say the movie was dreadful. Book 2 and 3 are currently en route to my library. While I wait – I am listening to “Confessions of a Shopaholic” by Sophie Kinsella and I am reading “The Tennis Party” also by Sophie Kinsella writing as Madeleine Wickham.
I still go to the bookstore – But I usually end up scanning the bar codes into Goodreads and reserving them at the library!
